Role overview
Mace brings together construction delivery and consultancy expertise to help realise the potential of people and projects, while pushing the limits of what can be achieved. The company’s values guide how it works and the kind of professionals it aims to attract.
The project
This position sits on one of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia. The programme is a major mixed-use development that includes sports venues, entertainment, arts, and the supporting infrastructure required to connect these elements.
Mace is one of the delivery partners and is looking for highly experienced professionals to help lead integrated teams through every stage of the programme.
What this role will do
The Transport Data Science Manager will shape data-led intelligence across the mobility ecosystem. The role focuses on building advanced transport data models, AI-driven insights, and scalable cloud-based data platforms, supported by strong governance and knowledge management practices.
Working closely with technology vendors, autonomous vehicle providers, systems integrators, and internal teams, the position will ensure data platforms and analytics solutions are well defined, properly integrated, and delivered to a high standard of quality and performance.
Key responsibilities
- Develop integrated transport data strategies across all mobility modes, with clearly defined use cases, KPIs, and performance measures tied to business and customer outcomes.
- Build and deliver advanced analytics and AI use cases, including predictive models for demand, ridership, fleet optimisation, traffic flow, safety, and customer behaviour.
- Support scalable cloud-based data and AI architectures that enable personalised mobility experiences and connect smoothly with AV and MaaS platforms.
- Create and sustain strong data governance and knowledge management structures, with attention to data quality, compliance, traceability, and lifecycle control for data assets and models.
- Support the organisation’s net zero carbon goals by helping identify and manage carbon emissions and reductions during delivery.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in data science, data engineering, AI/ML, transport systems engineering, or a closely related field.
- At least 8 years of proven experience in transport data engineering and AI/ML; experience in the GCC region is considered an advantage.
- Eligibility for the required visa process for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, along with relevant experience on high-value projects or programmes within a project management consultancy, as needed for immigration and client approval.
Our values

Additional information
The employer is an inclusive organisation and encourages applications from candidates of all backgrounds. Applicants who do not meet every listed requirement are still welcome to apply if they believe they are the right fit for this role or another opportunity within the company.
Flexible working arrangements may be considered where suitable for the role, including part-time, flexible, and hybrid options.
