Role Overview
The System Planning Manager will lead planning and technical work around SD-WAN service infrastructure, with a strong focus on network/security engineering, lifecycle management, and coordination across internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
This role involves designing and building SD-WAN infrastructure, assessing emerging technologies through market review and proof-of-concept work, and supporting proof-of-value activities for customers. The position also includes handling higher-level support escalations for platform and software issues, managing product lifecycles such as end-of-life, end-of-support, releases, and upgrades, and driving new feature development and platform improvements.
In addition, the manager will handle technical planning, project coordination, and scope definition for Day 1 and Day 2 activities. Close collaboration with Product, Pre-Sales, Fulfilment, and Support teams is an essential part of the job.
Requirements
Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, or Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The role calls for 6 to 8 years of experience in an Enterprise, System Integrator, or Telco environment, along with CCNP certification or an equivalent credential.
Strong technical grounding in TCP/IP, routing, and network/security principles is required, along with basic familiarity with Linux, virtualization, and cloud platforms. Good written and verbal communication skills are also important.
