RPA Developer

Role overview

This position focuses on building and improving robotic process automation solutions using tools such as Automation Anywhere and Power Automate. The selected candidate will work closely with operations leaders, process owners, and subject matter experts to identify automation opportunities, design and deploy solutions, and enhance existing workflows. The role also includes document archiving responsibilities, customer service support for internal and external stakeholders, and training teammates on automation methods.

Key responsibilities

• Spot automation opportunities early, then assess feasibility and estimate the effort required.
• Design automation solutions with the Solution Architect, following established design standards and best practices.
• Own assigned automation projects from initial definition through final delivery.
• Keep stakeholders informed on progress and respond quickly to feedback.
• Highlight risks, dependencies, and conflicts across teams or regions, and help resolve them.
• Stay aware of industry trends and emerging practices to improve automation value and performance.
• Ensure project documentation is complete and support audits with accurate logs and records.

Impact and performance expectations

• Expected to deliver 5 to 6 complex RPA projects each year.
• Target annual productivity gains equivalent to 3 to 4 FTEs.
• Performance will be measured by the number of automations delivered, FTE efficiency created, project cycle time adherence, compliance with RPA lifecycle documentation, and CSAT scores.

Technical and functional requirements

• Hands-on experience leading RPA initiatives using platforms such as Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, or Power Automate.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Access, and MS SQL.
• Programming or scripting exposure in VBA, VB, Java, C#, Python, or similar languages is an advantage.
• Must have delivered at least 5 RPA automation projects using Automation Anywhere or Power Automate.
• Knowledge of shared services enabling technologies used in business process support.

Experience and qualifications

• A graduate degree is required.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in process automation with a leading BPO, SSC, or ITES organization, ideally as an RPA Developer.
• Ability to provide high-quality customer service.
• Strong organization, problem-solving, presentation, and influence-management skills.
• Comfortable working in global, cross-functional environments and turning complex information into clear, actionable communication.
• English communication skills are essential; knowledge of Asian languages is an added advantage.
