Position Summary

The Racker is responsible for placing joined face fabric and lining onto racks and helping keep the sewing flow organized and efficient.

Key Duties

• Place lining and face fabric onto racks.
• Verify that the date on each ticket matches the date on the rack once the job is finished.
• Keep red tickets and walk orders separate from standard-dated work.
• Carry rod tops by hand to the rod top table and rack them with the correct workday.
• Move racks to Head Sew.
• Coordinate closely with the table operator, hemmer, and supervisor.
• Make sure seam and folded draperies leave the station in a tidy and organized condition.
• Carry out any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Candidate Profile

This role is suited to someone with a high school diploma, basic familiarity with fabric, strong accuracy in names, numbers, and spelling, and the ability to follow both written and spoken directions. The job also requires the candidate to pass a color-blindness test, maintain strong attention to detail, stand and walk for long periods, and lift continuously during the shift.

Compensation and Benefits

The role pays an annual base rate of $13 per hour.
