Oracle Hyperion Techno-Functional Consultant

Role Overview

AXO is seeking a seasoned Oracle Hyperion techno-functional consultant to manage and support enterprise financial planning and reporting systems in Doha, Qatar. This role calls for a strong mix of technical administration, functional support, and coordination with business users across Qatar.

Experience and Background

The ideal professional should hold a bachelor's degree and bring more than five years of relevant experience, including 8 to 10 years working with Oracle Hyperion products. Hands-on exposure to Hyperion Essbase and Planning is essential, along with solid experience supporting Smart View, the Essbase Excel add-in, and Reporting Studio Writer.

Key Responsibilities

You will oversee the administration and ongoing stability of the Oracle Hyperion environment, including Essbase, Planning Server, FDQM, and HFM. The role also involves patching, version control, security administration, user access management through Shared Services, and support for budgeting and planning allocations.

Additional duties include coordinating FDMEE data loads from EBS, maintaining financial data and standard reports, assisting business teams with month-end close activities, and producing system administration documentation. You will also monitor system performance, analyze reports and reconciliations, maintain archiving policies, and support backup and disaster recovery processes.

Technical Scope

The consultant will participate in deployment activities for new Hyperion environments, including both functional and technical aspects, while working with backup administrators to test backup procedures and maintain disaster recovery infrastructure.

Requirements

The role requires strong project management capabilities, especially in leading system upgrades. Candidates should be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools, and be able to support external user communities across Qatar.
