Role overview
We are looking for an accomplished Operations Director to strengthen the operational backbone of a fast-scaling business networking organisation across Australia and New Zealand. Based in Miranda, Sydney, this leadership role also involves frequent travel across both countries.
The business connects thousands of business owners through facilitated networking groups, leadership events, conferences, and educational programs. With a strong footprint in Australia and New Zealand and ongoing international growth, this position is central to the next phase of expansion.
This is a newly established role focused on raising operational performance across the franchise network and corporate regions. You will work closely with the CEO and Chief of Team to turn strategy into action by supporting franchisees, guiding Regional Leaders, improving systems, and ensuring every meeting delivers a high-quality member experience.
The role is hands-on rather than office-bound. Time will be split between the Miranda head office, field visits with franchisees and Regional Leaders, and travel for launches, reviews, conferences, and operational improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities
Your work will span multiple areas of the business, including franchise support, regional operations, compliance, systems improvement, event support, and leadership development.
About the candidate
The ideal background includes leadership in multi-location operations within franchise, membership, retail, hospitality, service, or other multi-site businesses. You should enjoy problem-solving, relationship building, and helping teams operate at a higher standard.
Franchise exposure is an advantage, though it is not mandatory.
