Role Overview
We are seeking a Junior Video Editor / Content Creator who combines strong storytelling instincts with hands-on editing and shooting skills. In this position, you will help connect production and post-production by crafting polished, social-first video content across multiple formats. The role reports to the Creative Director and sits within the video editing team.
Core Responsibilities
- Cut and refine video content in Adobe Premiere Pro, which is essential for this role.
- Capture footage using lightweight equipment such as smartphones, DJI Osmo devices, and DSLR cameras.
- Attend on-location shoots regularly each week across London and other locations as needed.
- Partner with creative and production teams to understand briefs and turn concepts into finished content.
- Rework edits for various social platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook, while adjusting for each channel’s style and audience.
- Support production days as a DIT, logger, or assistant editor whenever required.
- Maintain well-structured footage libraries, drives, and project files according to internal workflows.
- Carry out basic audio adjustments and colour correction within the editing process.
- Independently film and edit smaller assignments when necessary.
Requirements
- Background in ideation, concept development, and turning ideas into scripts and storyboards.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Comfortable shooting on mobile devices, DSLR cameras, and compact camera systems such as Osmo.
- Good grasp of editing fundamentals and storytelling for short-form video.
- Awareness of social media formats, audience behaviour, and current content trends.
- Prior experience in a creative setting such as an agency, production house, post-production house, or freelance work.
- Genuine interest in advertising and branded content.
- Able to work on your own initiative as well as in a team.
- Highly organised, proactive, and capable of juggling several tasks at once.
- Basic familiarity with After Effects or other Adobe tools is a plus.
- Interest in AI-led video production would be beneficial.
- Experience with advanced camera systems such as Sony FX3 or FX6 is an advantage.
- Understanding of on-set procedures, media handling, and delivery workflows is helpful.
- A portfolio link must be included with the application.
