Role overview

As a Junior Trader, you will work at the intersection of risk management, research, and technology to support trading strategies across several asset classes. You will collaborate with seasoned traders, software engineers, and quantitative researchers to help keep systems performing effectively.

Responsibilities

• Run automated trading systems that are highly sensitive to latency.
• Track connectivity, fills, and open positions across the trading stack.
• Tune system settings in response to changing market conditions.
• Step in with manual trading actions when reducing exposure is required.
• Spot opportunities to automate more of the workflow and suggest process or system improvements.
• Build internal utilities that strengthen monitoring, desk efficiency, and day-to-day operations.
• Share market-moving news, event updates, and system observations with the wider team promptly.
• Support desk operations end to end, including position checks, risk-related work, and after-trade review.
• Review logs, trade activity, and market data to provide useful feedback on system performance.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computational Finance, or another STEM discipline with an equivalent background.
• Ability to understand and analyze complex distributed trading systems.
• Programming capability in Python or C++.
• Strong focus on accuracy and detail.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
• Good judgement and composure under pressure.
• Self-driven, reliable, and accountable work style.

Nice to have

• Series 57 license.
• Previous experience as a trader or trading analyst.
