About the Internship
The European Institute of Policy Research and Human Rights AISBL is offering a remote internship for a Junior Researcher. This opportunity is aimed at students, graduates, early-stage researchers, and professionals who want to build practical skills in policy research, human rights, governance, international relations, law, public policy, and closely related areas.
Interns will receive structured supervision and guidance while strengthening their research, analytical writing, and policy drafting capabilities. The work may include reviewing academic and policy sources, analyzing issues, preparing research notes, and producing a supervised research paper, policy brief, or analytical report.
Key Responsibilities
- Review relevant literature on an approved topic in policy, law, human rights, governance, or international relations.
- Write concise research summaries, issue notes, and analytical briefs.
- Take part in online supervision or mentoring sessions when arranged.
- Develop a research paper, policy brief, or analytical report under supervision.
- Update and refine written work in line with feedback and research expectations.
- Complete assigned work within agreed timelines in a remote setup.
- Maintain ethical research practices, accurate citation, originality, and academic integrity.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral students may apply.
- Recent graduates and alumni from recognized universities are also eligible.
- Early-career professionals interested in research and policy analysis are welcome.
- Applicants from law, human rights, international relations, political science, public policy, governance, social sciences, management, business, economics, education, environmental studies, medicine, engineering, and similar disciplines can apply.
- Strong written English is required.
- Applicants should have a genuine interest in policy research, human rights, governance, law, or related subjects.
- The role requires the ability to work independently from a remote location.
- Candidates must be able to meet deadlines consistently.
- Willingness to follow research methods and supervisor feedback is important.
- Prior research publication experience is not required.
