About the Company
Advanced Media Technologies has spent over four decades helping internet service providers and broadband operators create the networks that power modern connectivity. As a value-added reseller and solutions partner, the company supports the broadband stack from the headend through the home, with strong engineering expertise, supply chain capabilities, and lifecycle support. The business is expanding, modernizing, and investing in the people who help it grow.
Role Overview
The company is seeking a seasoned Human Resources Manager to act as the main HR leader for an organization of about 100 employees. In this role, you will report to the President & COO and work closely with senior leaders to support a hybrid workforce during a period of growth and change.
This is a practical, high-responsibility position for someone who likes managing the full employee journey and understands that effective HR requires strategy, dependable execution, and trusted relationships. The role offers meaningful visibility, direct ownership, and the chance to influence culture in a long-tenured organization.
Key Responsibilities
You will serve as the senior HR partner to leadership, guide employee relations and performance management, and help translate business goals into people strategies that support engagement, retention, and growth. You will also identify people risks and opportunities and recommend business-focused solutions.
You will handle employee relations matters from start to finish, including investigations, performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions, and terminations. You will coach managers on documentation, leadership conversations, and people management, while helping maintain a positive and inclusive workplace.
You will oversee recruitment across the full hiring cycle, from workforce planning and intake through onboarding and employee assimilation. You will work with leaders to evaluate hiring needs, assess candidates, and support succession planning and internal development.
You will administer benefits, answer employee questions, and coordinate claims and coverage issues. You will also manage leave administration, workers' compensation, COBRA processes, payroll coordination, and accurate personnel records.
You will help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, update HR policies and communications, reduce risk through consistent practices, and stay current on changing legal requirements.
You will support learning and capability-building by creating training for managers and employees on performance management, compliance, and leadership topics, and by helping close skill gaps through internal or external resources.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate brings 7 to 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience and a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or a related area.
You should have working knowledge of employment law, benefits, compensation, equal opportunity, employment practices, and payroll. Prior hands-on experience with benefits administration and HR programs is important.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, along with the ability to present confidently with senior leaders. You should also have strong interpersonal and coaching skills, sound judgment with confidential information, and the ability to stay organized and adapt well to change.
The company values candidates who are resourceful, creative, and able to learn new tools and approaches quickly.
Preferred Background
Professional HR certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP/SCP is preferred. Additional training in employment law, compensation, employee relations, or training and development is also an advantage.
Why This Role Stands Out
This is a stable company with momentum, entering a new chapter where your work will directly help shape the future. The position reports straight to the President & COO, so your contributions will be visible and your perspective will matter.
You will have real ownership of the HR function rather than being one voice in a large department. The company also offers hybrid flexibility, with headquarters in Deerfield Beach, Florida and a schedule of one remote day per week plus four days in the office.
The organization has a strong track record of employee tenure, reflecting a workplace where people tend to build long careers.
Physical Requirements
In carrying out this role, you will regularly need to speak, hear, sit, and use your hands and fingers to handle or feel objects. Occasionally, you may need to stand, walk, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The job requires the ability to lift up to 10 pounds on a regular basis and up to 25 pounds occasionally. Close vision, defined as clear vision at 20 inches or less, is required. The workplace is generally quiet to moderately noisy. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities.
Application Instructions
Applicants interested in this opportunity should send a resume and a short note explaining what attracted them to the role to the provided company email address.
