Pay

This position starts at USD 11.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily housekeeping duties across resident rooms, bathrooms, shared spaces, and office areas.
• Clean and disinfect assigned areas in line with established procedures and safety rules.
• Keep records of completed cleaning work and report repair needs or safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Apply infection-control practices and universal precautions to help maintain a sanitary environment.
• Communicate professionally with residents, coworkers, and guests while delivering strong customer service.
• Take on any additional duties assigned by the supervisor or management.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or an equivalent credential is required.
• Prior housekeeping experience is helpful, though not mandatory.
• A positive attitude and the ability to communicate effectively with occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership are important.
• Candidates must comply with COVID-19 vaccination requirements.
• The role requires the ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
• You should be able to stand, sit, bend, and walk for long periods.
• The work involves repetitive tasks performed continuously and daily.
• You must be comfortable working around cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to follow both spoken and written instructions is necessary.
• Residency within the service area is required.

This is an on-site position based in Abilene, TX, within a long-term care setting.
