Role overview
We are seeking an energetic, self-driven Food & Beverage professional to join a hotel team as a Host / Hostess. The position is centered on creating a polished first impression, greeting guests warmly, and delivering attentive service throughout the dining experience.
Key responsibilities
- Provide courteous, friendly, and consistently professional service to every guest.
- Welcome guests at the outlet, escort them to their tables, remain available as their main point of contact, and ensure their needs are handled smoothly.
- Manage reservations, maintain the reservation book, and answer calls in a professional and polished manner.
- Prepare the outlet before service begins together with the rest of the service team.
- Work with the service team to arrange tables and seating based on the floor plan, including blocking reserved tables when required.
- Keep a close watch on the cleanliness and upkeep of the outlet and the entrance area.
- Ensure guests feel comfortable and well looked after through friendly but discreet interaction.
- Stay fully familiar with menus and current promotions so recommendations can be shared when guests ask.
- Help maintain and organize the outlet database.
- Check that guests leave satisfied and with a positive final impression.
Education, experience, and communication
A diploma or degree in hospitality is preferred, along with prior exposure to the Food & Beverage function in a hotel setting. Strong spoken and written English is required, and knowledge of additional languages is an advantage. Candidates should communicate politely and professionally at all times.

The right candidate should be highly guest-focused, eager to exceed expectations, enthusiastic, dependable, and able to work well with others. A positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, a pleasant smile, neat presentation, and a well-groomed appearance are important.
