Role overview
Speedy Hire is a major UK hire specialist offering a broad range of tools, specialist equipment, plant and support services for projects of every kind. The Hire Controller position is based in the Leeds depot and plays a key part in frontline operations, sales support and customer service.
In this role, you will manage the hire journey end to end, from processing the customer order through to delivery and collection. You will work closely with the wider depot team to make sure equipment is available, requests are handled quickly, and customers receive a reliable service.
Working pattern
This is a Monday to Friday role with hours from 07:30 to 17:00, totalling 42 hours per week. The role is desk-based and involves regular coordination with stock teams, drivers and engineers to keep fulfilment delays to a minimum.

You will spend most of your day supporting depot operations and maintaining strong working relationships across the business. Clear communication, responsiveness and good coordination are essential to ensuring customer needs are met efficiently.
