Role Overview
This is a full-time, on-site position in Dammam for a Freight Forwarding Coordinator focused on operations and pricing. The person in this role will manage and monitor day-to-day freight activities, coordinate shipments, prepare shipping documents, and help ensure compliance with import and export rules. The role requires close coordination with customers, carriers, agents, and internal departments to arrange pickups and deliveries, follow cargo movement, and handle delays or operational issues.
Key Duties
- Oversee daily freight operations and keep shipment flow organized.
- Coordinate pickups, deliveries, and movement schedules with external and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare, check, and manage shipping and logistics documentation.
- Track cargo progress and address exceptions, delays, or operational concerns.
- Maintain accurate shipment records and enter data into internal systems.
- Generate reports when required.
- Support rate enquiries and collect quotations from service providers.
- Contribute to routing and cost optimization while preserving service quality.
Qualifications and Experience
The employer is specifically seeking someone with real-world international freight forwarding experience. A background in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain coordination is an advantage. Familiarity with import and export processes, regulations, and documentation is strongly preferred. A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline is preferred, although equivalent experience may be accepted.
Required Skills
The role calls for strong communication and customer service ability, solid knowledge of freight operations, good organizational habits, attention to detail, and the ability to manage several shipments at once in a busy environment. Working knowledge of office tools such as MS Excel, Word, email, and shipment or ERP systems is also important.
