Field Training Coordinator

Role overview

RoadTek Central Queensland is looking for a committed and professional Field Training Coordinator to join the Rockhampton team on a full-time, onsite basis. In this position, you will provide practical training on the tools, systems and processes used in civil construction and maintenance, and you will continually review and assess staff capability to make sure employees are working to the required standard.

Key duties

• Plan, deliver and facilitate required mandatory and technical training so staff meet legislative and operational obligations, including instruction and assessment for plant operators in safe operation and efficient work methods.
• Support the review, investigation and rollout of new materials, equipment and technologies.
• Help conduct vehicle and plant audits to meet legislative obligations and maintain consistency in procedures and standards, including the upkeep of assessment, training and licence records.
• Oversee the statewide delivery of service inspections for plant, machinery and lifting equipment to ensure compliance, including monitoring and reporting through the Fleet Maintenance Management System for departmentally used plant and equipment.

Mandatory qualifications and conditions

• A criminal history check will be completed before appointment because the role involves access to sensitive information.
• A current and valid Queensland C-class driver licence, or an equivalent licence, is required.
• Certificate III in Civil Construction is required, with either Plant Operations or Road Construction and Maintenance as the relevant stream.
