Role overview

CV Infrastructure Services is expanding its estimating function at the Hendra head office because of strong market growth. In this position, you will focus on high-voltage substations and networks across a range of technologies and work scopes. The role covers pricing delivery, pricing strategy, cost estimating, and coordination with different business areas to shape and submit competitive bids and proposals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full estimating workflow, from reviewing tender documentation to submitting the final proposal.
• Partner with operations and delivery teams to build effective pricing approaches.
• Apply hands-on industry knowledge, along with internal data, tools, and subject matter experts, to prepare practical and competitive costings.
• Drive discussions around risk, opportunity, and value engineering during bid development.
• Use supplier and subcontractor relationships to keep track of market pricing movements.
• Compile precise cost breakdowns covering materials, labour, and subcontractors.
• Support a smooth transfer to delivery teams by ensuring the estimate is accurate and complete.

What we're looking for

• Background in electrical trades, ideally with exposure to high-voltage or commercial projects.
• Prior estimating experience in civil infrastructure such as roads, rail, utilities, or heavy industrial work.
• Comfort using estimating systems and related tools.
• Ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and communicate effectively throughout project delivery.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
• Confident communication style with clients and internal stakeholders, backed by good interpersonal skills.
• Well-developed organisation skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities and timeframes.
