Equipment Technician

Role overview

Ironedge Fitness is looking for a skilled Fitness Equipment Technician to handle the installation, servicing, fault-finding, and repair of both commercial and home-use fitness machines. The position calls for at least 3 years of practical experience working with cardio and strength equipment, along with the ability to deliver professional customer support.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble and set up gym equipment such as treadmills, exercise bikes, ellipticals, rowing machines, and strength-training units.
• Carry out preventive servicing and safety checks to keep equipment in reliable condition.
• Identify and fix mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues.
• Investigate equipment problems and apply effective repair solutions.
• Swap out faulty components and ensure machines remain safe and functional.
• Keep accurate service logs and write maintenance summaries.
• Attend customer service requests and provide technical assistance at client sites.
• Work in line with manufacturer instructions and internal safety standards.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in fitness equipment maintenance and repair.
• Working knowledge of well-known commercial fitness brands, including Technogym, Life Fitness, Precor, and Matrix Fitness.
• Ability to interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documents.
• Fundamental electrical and electronic fault-diagnosis skills.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• A valid UAE driving licence is an advantage.
• Must be able to work independently and travel to customer sites when needed.

Compensation

Pay will depend on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
