Driver/Valeter

Role overview

Join the Yeovil depot as a customer-oriented Driver/Valeter within SIXT Van & Truck. The Vehicle Hire Division supports a wide range of customers, from major corporate and public sector clients to medium-sized businesses, by supplying light commercial vehicles. In this role, you will represent the brand on the front line, making sure vehicles are handed over in excellent condition while delivering a high standard of customer care. The position offers a starting salary of £27,923.87 per year, along with a performance bonus, and brings opportunities to grow within the business.

What you'll do

• Prepare, clean and valet vehicles so they consistently meet the expected customer standard.
• Complete all relevant handover documents with customers to support a smooth vehicle transfer.
• Move vehicles between depots for deliveries and collections, keeping service punctual and reliable.
• Check vehicles for damage at collection and return, record findings, and finish the required paperwork.
• Confirm any identified damage with customers, obtain the necessary signatures, and inform the depot manager.
• Support refuelling activities and help keep depot operations running efficiently while delivering premium service in line with the SIXT brand.

Skills and working style

This role suits someone who can adapt quickly in a busy environment, stay effective under pressure, and work well both independently and with colleagues. Strong attention to detail is important for inspections and paperwork, while clear and friendly communication is needed when dealing with customers. The role also requires flexibility for shift rotation across branch opening hours. A valid driving licence and at least 12 months of driving experience are essential.
