Wonderlosity develops immersive retail and entertainment concepts through brands such as The Cloak & Wand, Alice in the Village, Alice’s Little Haunted Bookshop, and Arisu Anime.

The Creative Operations Manager is the link between inspiration and delivery. In partnership with company leadership, this role helps turn creative ideas into tangible products, experiences, events, and customer moments across the brand portfolio.

Leadership may bring the initial spark or direction, and this position is expected to shape the idea further, add original thinking, assess what is needed to make it happen, and carry it through execution. From building the next original product range to designing a themed guest interaction, shaping a seasonal campaign, or launching a new initiative, this role is central to making concepts real.

This is a highly independent, hands-on role. There is not presently a large creative team reporting into it. Instead, the person in this position will collaborate closely with leadership, vendors, artists, freelancers, and internal stakeholders to produce experiences that feel memorable, surprising, and engaging.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with leadership to design and launch new products, experiences, events, campaigns, displays, and customer engagement programs
  • Grow creative ideas through storytelling, naming, copywriting, product ideation, design input, and practical problem-solving
  • Investigate, assess, and help shape new products, collections, characters, and experiences that support and strengthen the brands
  • Own projects end to end, starting at concept and continuing through implementation
  • Identify the vendors, materials, artwork, logistics, and other resources required to deliver each initiative
  • Coordinate artists, freelancers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution of creative work
  • Assist with visual merchandising, signage, packaging, environmental storytelling, and guest-facing experiences
  • Look for new ways to make the brands more immersive, memorable, and interactive

Qualifications

  • Strong creative reasoning and solution-oriented thinking
  • Excellent organization and project management capabilities
  • Experience working directly with founders, executives, or creative decision-makers
  • Ability to balance inventive ideas with budgets, deadlines, and operational constraints
  • Sound judgment and the ability to work with limited oversight
  • Background in small businesses, startups, entrepreneurial settings, or scaling brands is strongly preferred

Compensation and Location

The annual base pay is $70,000 to $80,000, depending on experience.

An annual performance bonus is targeted at 10% of base salary.

Health coverage is offered through an Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangement (ICHRA), which allows employees to choose the individual health insurance plan that best fits their needs.

This is a remote role, with periodic travel required to Wonderlosity locations and events.
