Qube Logistics is seeking a reliable full-time Container Repairer to join its Port Nelson operation in Nelson, New Zealand. The role suits someone who turns up consistently, works with care, and takes pride in delivering quality repairs.

Key duties

You will be repairing damaged and corroded shipping containers and flat racks, carrying out welding, cutting, painting, and light fabrication work, and making sure repairs are completed to the required industry standard. The role also involves working with the wider team to achieve daily output targets and maintaining Qube’s zero-harm safety approach throughout each shift.

Working hours and location

This is an onsite position based at Port Nelson, Nelson. Standard hours are Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 5:00pm, with Saturday work available when needed from 7:00am to 12:00pm.

What you’ll need

The company is looking for someone with hands-on experience in welding, steel cutting, grinding, painting, and/or light fabrication. You should be physically fit, comfortable working outdoors, bring a positive attitude, and be willing to learn and contribute as part of a team. Strong attendance and punctuality are important in this role.
