Role Summary

The company is seeking a CADD Technician to support active projects. This role suits someone who enjoys utility-related work, has experience with civil infrastructure projects, and is comfortable contributing to a growing small business with long-term potential. Candidates based in the Greater Toronto Area are preferred, with the option to work from home.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is CA$22.00 to CA$32.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Key Duties

• Produce project drawings using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
• Assemble test hole data sheets, photographs, and related material for project reports.
• Support One-Call request preparation, permit applications, and records research.
• Help prepare permits for field activities.
• Apply the company’s CADD standards for layering and sheet layout.
• Track schedules and provide progress updates.

Qualifications

Applicants should have college or university-level training in computer-aided drafting, or equivalent practical experience using AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Revit.

Strong technical troubleshooting ability is needed to assist with CAD workstation setup, software problems, and project-specific technical questions.

Basic knowledge of engineering workplace operating systems such as Windows, along with the ability to handle simple system settings, is required.

The role also calls for strong attention to detail, good organization, and the ability to follow drafting standards and procedures consistently.

Good communication and teamwork skills are important, as the position involves working with multidisciplinary project teams.

Experience with utility or civil engineering projects, along with familiarity with industry standards, would be an advantage.
