Role Overview
Angelcare is hiring a dependable and diligent Cleaner for its Durban, KwaZulu-Natal location. This is a permanent, full-time onsite role focused on keeping client spaces tidy, sanitary, and welcoming.
The position involves cleaning offices, homes, and shared/public areas while maintaining a high standard of hygiene and professionalism.
Key Duties
- Keep assigned areas clean and orderly, including offices, washrooms, and common spaces.
- Remove dust, mop floors, vacuum carpets, and clean furniture.
- Disinfect frequently touched surfaces such as desks, tables, and door handles.
- Empty waste bins and fit new liners when needed.
- Replenish essentials like toilet paper, paper towels, and hand soap.
- Report any damage or repair needs to the relevant person.
- Work in line with all health and safety procedures.
- Maintain a polite, professional, and helpful attitude.
- Deliver good service to clients while carrying out cleaning tasks.
- Finish assigned work within the expected time.
- Support special cleaning tasks or one-off projects as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Matric / high school completion or an equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in cleaning or a similar position is required.
- Understanding of cleaning products, safe storage, and correct disposal practices.
- Ability to take instructions and work with minimal supervision.
- Good eye for detail and solid time management.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy items.
- Prepared to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- A valid driver’s licence and dependable transport are preferred.
