Role summary
JDE Peet’s is hiring a full-time Workshop Technician based in Auckland. The position is site-based in the workshop, where you will repair, restore and maintain coffee machines. Alongside your technical work, you will also act as a representative of the company and its values.
The workshop supports a broad assortment of coffee machines, so the successful candidate should be comfortable with technology, eager to build knowledge, and motivated to keep learning and improving in the role.
What you will do
- Carry out repairs, refurbishments and servicing on coffee machines in the onsite workshop.
- Work across a wide variety of machine models in the company’s range.
- Represent the business professionally while handling technical tasks.
- Keep developing your product knowledge and technical capability over time.
What we are looking for
- An Electrical Service Technician (EST) licence is desirable.
- Background in hospitality or experience with vending equipment is an advantage.
- Previous exposure to coffee machine servicing is helpful.
- A full, clean driver’s licence is required.
- You should be practical, resilient under pressure, and comfortable in a customer-facing, social environment.
- A genuine interest in coffee and a strong willingness to learn its technical side are important.
- Applicants must be based in New Zealand and hold an unrestricted valid work visa.
