About the company

Nuventura is a Berlin climate-tech business focused on the next generation of medium-voltage switchgear. Its patented gas-insulated approach replaces SF with clean, dry air while preserving the reliability and performance expected from conventional systems.

The company’s purpose is to speed up the shift to sustainable electrical infrastructure. To do that, it combines advanced engineering, industrial collaborations, and fast-paced product development. As its product range grows through new development work and international expansion, Nuventura helps utilities and manufacturers around the world move to SF-free technology and build power grids that are ready for the future.

Role overview

In this working student position, you will support the engineering R&D team in a practical, workshop-oriented setting. The role is intended for students who enjoy hands-on work and want to gain direct experience building mechanical and electrical assemblies, producing technical documentation, and contributing to product improvements.

Your work will have a direct influence on mechanical and electrical type testing and will help ensure the company’s solutions meet demanding standards for quality, reliability, and sustainability.

What you will do

  • Construct sub-assemblies as well as complete assemblies.
  • Prepare clear work instructions that reflect the actual assembly process.
  • Record and review technical problems that come up during assembly.
  • Work with design engineers to recommend improvements that support design for assembly.
  • Create detailed mechanical drawings following GD&T standards.

What the company is looking for

The ideal candidate is currently studying Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering at bachelor’s level, preferably with a design focus. Practical experience with mechanical assembly is important, along with a solid technical mindset and strong problem-solving ability.

Applicants should be fluent in both English and German. Additional advantages include a mechanical engineering background with GD&T exposure, as well as experience in workshop or production settings.

Benefits and culture

  • Join a high-performing team with experienced people from a wide range of backgrounds.
  • Receive direct challenges and support aimed at helping you grow professionally.
  • Work in a culture built on trust, accountability, merit-based collaboration, and constructive feedback.
  • Be part of a company that is sustainability-focused, grounded, and enthusiastic about its mission.
  • Enjoy daily free snacks, drinks, and fruit, plus regular team activities such as a Christmas party, summer celebrations, and departmental event budgets.
