Role overview
The Senior Charterer will be responsible for negotiating and finalizing shipping agreements in the bulk freight market. The role focuses on building chartering and freight business, sustaining growth, and supporting profitability in close partnership with the Assistant Manager, Shipping and Operations.

Experience and background
Applicants with a solid chartering track record gained at Muntajat, QatarEnergy, QPSPP, or QG may be considered.
The role calls for at least 8 years of relevant professional experience, including a minimum of 5 years in chartering with a leading IOC, NOC, or a respected shipping company.
Core capabilities
Strong familiarity with chartering and freight markets across multiple contract types and regions will be an advantage.
The successful candidate should be able to use functional support effectively, provide informed commercial recommendations, and identify both risks and opportunities.

Excellent negotiation, communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to make quick risk-based decisions even when information is limited.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Economics, Law, Business Administration, or a closely related field from an internationally recognized university is required. A postgraduate qualification such as an MSc or MBA is preferred.
