Role Overview

The Security Technician role involves performing technical support, maintenance, troubleshooting, and small-scale project work on Honeywell’s and third-party security systems at EGRP. This position suits candidates who enjoy technical problem-solving, working independently, handling multiple priorities, and operating within a secure, high-performance setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily servicing and maintenance of Honeywell and third-party security equipment.
• Diagnose and rectify faults in security head-end systems.
• Configure software for security modules such as EBI, DVM, ECAS, CCTV, and IP Intercoms.
• Deliver outstanding technical support and excellent customer service to onsite clients.
• Maintain precise site documentation and quality assurance records.
• Participate in small to medium security installation projects, including managing subcontractors.
• Ensure all tasks comply with safety standards, professionalism, and contractual obligations.
• Support audits, inspections, and compliance reporting activities.
• Contribute to after-hours emergency support on a callout roster as needed.

Essential Requirements

• Valid Security Installer Licence.
• ACMA Open Cabler Registration.
• Certificate III in Electronics & Communications or equivalent trade qualification.
• Demonstrable experience with electronic security systems.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities.
• Self-motivated with proven ability to prioritize and work independently.
• Excellent communication skills and customer-focused approach.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Desirable Qualifications

• Familiarity with Honeywell security platforms.
• Experience working in secure, critical, or government environments.
