QA Engineer / Software Tester

Role Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and quality-focused QA Engineer / Software Tester to help maintain the reliability, usability, and performance of software products across the full development cycle. In this position, you will plan and carry out testing activities, refine QA processes, and support the delivery of applications that satisfy business needs and user expectations.

What You’ll Do

You will work closely with developers, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, shape testing approaches, and confirm that software behaves as intended. Your work will include reviewing specifications, preparing test plans and test cases, running tests, recording outcomes, and ensuring defects are tracked until they are resolved.

The role covers a broad range of testing across web, mobile, and software applications, including functional, regression, integration, system, usability, and user acceptance testing. You will log, reproduce, classify, and prioritize issues, then partner with the development team to verify fixes and support timely closure.

In addition, you may contribute to test automation efforts, keep testing records up to date, monitor quality indicators, and help improve QA standards and workflows. You will also support release testing, review requirements, assess risk, validate performance, and suggest ways to strengthen product quality and the overall user experience.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of software testing principles, methods, and industry best practices.
• Ability to design and run test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Hands-on experience with functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
• Good understanding of SDLC and QA workflows.
• Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools.
• Working knowledge of testing concepts for web, mobile, and desktop applications.
• Ability to spot, document, and explain defects clearly and accurately.
• Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting ability, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
• Awareness of API testing, database checks, and cross-browser testing.
• Exposure to automation tools and automated testing frameworks is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or similar development approaches.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
