Role overview

The Project Manager will lead offshore project execution and take responsibility for business, technical, financial, and administrative delivery of the assigned program or project. The role involves representing the company with the customer and suppliers, managing scope changes, coordinating internal teams, and keeping project performance on track across cost, schedule, quality, and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all business, technical, financial, and administrative activities for the assigned project, program, or subtask.
• Serve as the main company contact with the client and selected suppliers during execution.
• Negotiate scope revisions with the customer and support business development with customer insight and future work opportunities.
• Define project requirements, review draft and final deliverables, and ensure they align with agreed criteria.
• Assign work to key team members based on their strengths and qualifications.
• Contribute to performance reviews and development planning for team members.
• Drive technical quality and continuous improvement practices.
• Coordinate with support teams, other offices, and subsidiaries to build effective project teams.
• Work with discipline leads to prepare budgets, schedules, and project execution plans.
• Track progress, milestones, and issues; report status to management and take corrective action when needed.
• Manage Work Plan, HSE Plan, QA/QC Plan, and other required project documents, including work related to hazardous waste when applicable.
• Support customer relationships before, during, and after project completion.
• Ensure contract compliance, change control, stakeholder coordination, communication management, risk management, design oversight, procurement/subcontracts coordination, and construction management.

Health, safety, environment, and quality

• Support and comply with the One-Way program and ensure HSE requirements are followed by everyone on the project.
• Maintain a strong safety focus and demonstrate commitment to world-class health, safety, and environmental performance.
• Identify and report hazards and incidents.
• Ensure quality requirements are clearly defined, properly implemented, and aligned with company procedures.
• Capture lessons learned throughout the project.

Leadership and communication

• Provide clear leadership and define roles and responsibilities for the project team.
• Maintain effective communication with the project team, the customer, management, and third parties.
• Deliver accurate and timely progress reports.
• Monitor communication channels and adjust them when needed.

Qualifications and experience

A full-time bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university is required. Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status, or active progress toward it, will be considered an advantage. The role calls for substantial project leadership experience, including significant technical and supervisory responsibility. Experience must include FEED and detailed design for large offshore brownfield projects.
