Project Director - Data Center

Role overview

This role is centered on leading and strengthening data center project delivery within an expanding contractor platform. The Project Director will oversee full project execution across civil and M&E disciplines, while also helping shape technical standards, market presence, and future growth opportunities. Working alongside senior leaders, this person will contribute both to successful delivery and to the development of internal capabilities in a fast-moving regional market.

Key responsibilities

• Direct the complete delivery of large-scale mission-critical projects from start to finish.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance across civil, mechanical, and electrical scopes.
• Steer the full project lifecycle, including planning, implementation, and final handover.
• Coordinate with consultants, vendors, and other stakeholders to keep design and execution aligned.
• Assist with pre-construction work such as feasibility reviews and technical input.
• Lead contractor-side project execution while maintaining standards for quality, budget, and schedule.
• Help build in-house data center expertise and broaden delivery capability.
• Support commercial judgments and identify opportunities for value engineering.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with important industry contacts.
• Contribute to business development efforts and regional market expansion.

Requirements

• Demonstrated success in delivering data center or other mission-critical projects through the full lifecycle.
• Prior experience working with main contractors is required.
• Strong technical knowledge across both civil and M&E works.
• Exposure to data center delivery, or alternatively semiconductor or cleanroom projects.
• Sound understanding of the Singapore market and the broader regional data center landscape.
• Established network and familiarity with consultants, vendors, and supply chain partners.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to support growth-oriented decisions.
• Clear communication skills and confidence in managing stakeholders.
• Comfort working in a changing environment while building new internal capabilities.
