કામનું વર્ણન
Company overview
Arbor Capital is a buy-and-build private equity fund created by two senior PE professionals with backgrounds at Bain Capital, Blackstone, SVP, 3i and TowerBrook. The firm concentrates on platform investments in B2B and high-value manufacturing businesses across DACH and the UK. Its approach is centered on operational value creation, working alongside SMEs and founders to develop resilient, market-leading companies.
The first platform investment, Neuplaner, is an audit, tax and accounting roll-up backed by €100M from top institutional investors, with a pace of 7–10 acquisitions each year. The team is also building three additional platforms that are expected to launch soon.
Role summary
The company is hiring a Summer Analyst or Off-Cycle Intern to support the full investment cycle for 3 to 6 months, with 6 months preferred. The role contributes at both fund and platform level, and exceptional performance may lead to a full-time opportunity.
What you will work on
- Research industries and subsectors across Europe, building bottoms-up analysis to identify attractive investment opportunities.
- Create target lists, qualify prospects, and shape outreach plans to grow the acquisition pipeline; this includes contacting, calling, and meeting potential targets.
- Support and coordinate financial, commercial, and technical due diligence for platform, nucleus, and add-on opportunities.
- Build operating and financial models to inform underwriting, valuation, and investment decisions.
- Prepare investment committee materials and other investor-facing presentations for platforms and add-ons, including debt and equity fundraising materials.
- Participate actively in IC discussions and decisions.
- Help expand the firm’s AI platform and agentic workflows across the investment process.
Candidate profile
Applicants should be in a Master’s program, already completed or currently pursuing, in Business, Finance, Economics, or the Natural/Social Sciences. Strong Bachelor’s candidates with relevant work experience may also be considered.
Prior exposure to private equity, investment banking, or management consulting is expected, along with strong analytical ability and a solid grasp of financial statements.
The role requires native or near-native German and fluent English; additional languages are an advantage. A strong academic record and a clear history of high achievement are important.
Working style
Successful candidates will be structured, detail-focused, highly motivated, and willing to work hard. The role suits someone who can deliver results independently in a fast-moving team, has intellectual curiosity about private equity and business, and is interested in how AI tools can be used in real deal processes.
What’s on offer
- Exposure to the complete private equity workflow from day one.
- High responsibility, measurable impact, and close involvement from the start.
- Direct mentoring from investors with 15–20+ years of experience in private equity and industry roles.
- Competitive compensation.
- Remote working flexibility.
- Potential transition into a permanent role for exceptional performers.
