What you will do

• Support clients with personalized care while maintaining dignity, comfort, and respect.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and their families through consistent, client-focused service.
• Contribute to care delivery across the Tavistock territory and nearby communities.
• Document and communicate work activities using the mobile device provided.
• Work closely with clinical managers, schedulers, and the broader care team.
• Follow health and safety procedures to maintain a secure environment for both staff and clients.

Eligibility and requirements

Applicants should be caring, reliable, and comfortable providing in-home support. The role requires a strong commitment to service quality, professionalism, and client wellbeing.

• Personal Support Worker diploma or an equivalent qualification, with proof required.
• Valid driver’s licence, automobile insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle.
• Strong communication skills with fluency in both written and spoken English.
• French language ability is needed for roles in Quebec or wherever French is required as part of service delivery.
• Selected candidates must provide two professional references.
• A clear criminal background check, including vulnerable sector screening, is required.
• Proof of a negative TB test is required.
• Depending on provincial rules and the specific position, new hires may also need to show proof of vaccination against illnesses such as COVID-19, Hepatitis, and seasonal flu, subject to medical or Human Rights Code exemptions reviewed case by case.
