Role Overview
LotusFlare is looking for a well-organized, proactive People Operations Administrator to support HR activities, employee experience, onboarding, and office operations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, can build strong cross-functional relationships, and is comfortable in a fast-moving environment. The role also involves using technology to simplify HR workflows and helping improve how the company supports employees at scale.
Working Arrangement
- This is a part-time role requiring 4 hours per day.
- Preferred working window is 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, with flexibility.
- The role typically requires 3 to 5 in-office days each week.
- Work location is North York Centre Station, Toronto.
- There is an opportunity to move into a full-time role later, along with room for professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Help new hires get started smoothly by coordinating first-day setup, equipment handover, and early check-ins.
- Organize employee engagement activities, office socials, and team-building events.
- Keep HR records accurate and up to date, including employee profiles, onboarding paperwork, and internal reports.
- Assist with interview scheduling and other HR coordination tasks.
- Act as a contact point for employees and respond to questions while supporting HR initiatives.
- Support daily office operations such as supplies, equipment, and workspace organization.
- Help manage internal communication and encourage participation in culture-focused activities.
- Look for ways to improve processes and strengthen People Operations workflows.
Requirements
- 1 to 2 years of experience in HR, People Operations, Office Administration, or a similar area.
- Strong attention to detail and solid organizational ability.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills in a professional setting.
- Comfort interacting with people at all levels of the organization.
- A positive, hands-on, and collaborative approach to work.
- Confidence using technology and digital tools.
- Ability to take initiative and suggest practical improvements.
- Familiarity with HR systems such as Zoho is an advantage.
Preferred Background
- Prior experience in a startup or technology company.
- Experience supporting HR management or planning events.
