Officer - Data Quality

Job purpose

This role is focused on maintaining strong data quality standards across operational systems. The person in this position will review how data is handled, spot weaknesses in current workflows, and apply practical improvements so information remains reliable and aligned with organizational expectations.

Key accountabilities

• Evaluate data in different systems to verify that it is accurate, complete, consistent, and dependable.
• Set up and support a data governance structure that clearly defines responsibilities, ownership, and procedures for managing data across the organization.
• Carry out recurring data checks and audits to uncover errors and improvement opportunities.
• Introduce methods to fix incorrect records, remove duplicate entries, and align data into standard formats.
• Make sure operational information remains current, complete, and accurate across all platforms.
• Protect the quality of customer data so it can be used effectively for segmentation and targeting.
• Investigate the root causes behind data quality problems, especially issues related to customer records.
• Apply corrective measures that reduce the likelihood of the same data issues happening again.
• Ensure data practices meet applicable privacy and compliance requirements, including regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
• Stay informed about new practices, tools, and technologies used in data quality and customer information management.
• Promote a privacy-conscious culture within the organization and help ensure all data handling respects customer rights and legal obligations.

Qualifications and experience

A bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline is required. The role also calls for 2 to 4 years of experience in a similar or adjacent field.
