Merchandiser (Weekend Shift)

Role summary

This full-time, on-site merchandising role with PepsiCo is based in Watkinsville, Georgia. The pay rate is $21.25 per hour. The workweek runs Friday through Tuesday, and the position is centered on servicing high-volume retail locations such as grocery stores.

What you will do

You will be responsible for keeping store product presentations well stocked, organized, and visually appealing. The role includes moving inventory between the backroom, coolers, shelves, and sales floor, as well as placing promotional materials and supporting day-to-day store execution.

Working conditions

This is a physically demanding field role that involves frequent lifting, loading, pushing, and pulling of cases weighing 20 to 45 pounds each. The job also requires bending, reaching, and squatting during merchandising activities. It follows a steady schedule with fixed start times and assigned customers, though different schedules may become available over time.

Primary accountabilities

• Stock assigned store shelves, coolers, and displays with merchandise
• Refresh product rotation in the sales area and backroom
• Move products between storage areas and shelf locations
• Operate tools and equipment such as U-boats, hand trucks, and pallet jacks
• Place promotional signage, banners, and related materials in stores
• Maintain a clean and orderly backroom stock area
• Report store-level concerns to store leadership and PepsiCo management
• Develop positive working relationships with store personnel
• Follow operating rules such as route compliance and scan-in/scan-out procedures
• Service accounts within assigned time windows
• Provide strong customer service and respond attentively to store needs
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Use handheld devices to enter and submit orders
• Maintain dependable and consistent attendance

Basic qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must pass a physical capabilities test if required
• Must have a car or personal transportation to reach multiple store locations during the shift
• Must hold a valid U.S. driver's license
• Must be able to provide proof of insurance

Helpful experience

Previous exposure to retail or grocery operations, stocking, merchandising, backroom inventory management, product movement using store equipment, or customer service will be useful in this role.

For roles that require use of a personal vehicle for a sales route, mileage reimbursement is offered.
