Mechanical Shift Supervisor

Job purpose

The Mechanical Shift Supervisor is responsible for directing mechanical maintenance work during the assigned shift so plant equipment remains dependable, downtime is kept to a minimum, and operations continue safely and efficiently.

Core responsibilities

• Lead corrective, preventive, and urgent mechanical maintenance tasks during the shift.
• Track maintenance execution and make sure all work follows the planned schedule and required safety standards.
• Carry out site inspections and supervise the performance of the shift maintenance crew.
• Examine inspection findings and drive the necessary corrective measures.
• Compile shift maintenance summaries covering equipment failures, breakdowns, and subsequent actions.
• Interpret engineering drawings and technical maintenance documents as part of the job.

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline is required.

Experience

Applicants should have 2 to 4 years of mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial setting. Prior exposure to the cement sector is an advantage.
