Lifeguard

Role Overview

Star Academies is hiring a Lifeguard for Laisterdyke Leadership Academy in Bradford, England, United Kingdom. In this position, you will support the PE department and help keep swimming activities safe and well organised. The role also carries the internal job title of School Business Manager.

Key Duties

• Support the PE team by preparing, maintaining, and organising resources for staff and students.
• Provide administrative, technical, and curriculum-related assistance where needed.
• Carry out lifeguarding duties for the school.

Candidate Profile

The school is looking for someone with a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ), or an equivalent certification, or a willingness to complete the NPLQ immediately after joining. Prior lifeguarding experience would be an advantage. Experience of supervising or working with children is also desirable. Applicants should be able to swim confidently at a high standard and should have solid literacy and numeracy skills.
