LED Technician

Job Summary

We are hiring a capable LED Technician to support the installation, testing, fault diagnosis, upkeep, and repair of LED lighting and related control systems. This includes façade lighting, architectural lighting, pixel lighting, and associated electrical and electronic components. The role calls for solid hands-on knowledge of LED products, wiring practices, and on-site installation methods, along with a strong focus on quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, commission, and service LED lighting systems at project locations.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair LED luminaires, drivers, power supplies, controllers, and connected parts.
• Identify electrical and electronic issues in LED fixtures and lighting control systems.
• Interpret electrical drawings, wiring layouts, and technical documentation.
• Install façade, landscape, architectural, linear, and pixel lighting systems.
• Support installation and testing of DMX, SPI, DALI, and similar lighting controls.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance as well as corrective repairs for lighting setups.
• Handle cable routing, termination, and electrical connections with accuracy.
• Inspect sites and prepare service reports after work is completed.
• Work closely with project engineers, supervisors, and clients during installation and commissioning.
• Follow electrical safety rules and company procedures at all times.
• Keep tools, equipment, and spare parts organized and in working condition.
• Assist warehouse teams with testing and quality checks of LED products when needed.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of LED lighting products and electrical components.
• Working knowledge of LED drivers, SMPS units, power supplies, and lighting controllers.
• Exposure to façade, architectural, and outdoor lighting installations.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical and electronic faults.
• Basic familiarity with DMX, SPI, DALI, or other lighting protocols is an advantage.
• Comfortable reading schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using electrical testing tools such as multimeter, clamp meter, insulation tester, and continuity tester.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently to project sites.

Education

Suitable qualifications include ITI (Electrician/Electronics), Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or another equivalent technical qualification.

Eligibility
