About the opportunity
This is an entry-level remote IT support role for a motivated, service-oriented professional based in Australia. The position is suited to someone who enjoys troubleshooting technology issues, assisting users, and contributing to the smooth running of daily IT operations while gaining practical experience.
What you will do
- Handle initial technical support requests through phone, email, chat, and ticketing tools
- Diagnose and resolve common issues related to hardware, software, printers, and basic networking
- Record, monitor, and close support cases promptly
- Pass more complex incidents to senior IT staff when needed
- Help with account creation, password resets, and access-related requests
- Assist with software setup, updates, and regular system upkeep
- Keep clear records of technical problems and the steps taken to fix them
- Provide courteous, user-friendly support to employees and end users
What you should bring
- Good problem-solving ability and an analytical mindset
- Basic working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, and computer hardware
- Some understanding of networking concepts is beneficial
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-first approach
- Comfort working independently in a remote setup
