Role overview

As an Intern in Compliance, you will act as a key contact for the merchant compliance initiative in Germany. Wolt operates under an E-Money licence, so strong standards around partner verification and data quality are essential. Your work will support efforts to bring merchant records in line with current regulatory requirements.

The core of the role is direct outreach. You will contact existing merchant partners in Germany, explain why updates are required, answer their questions, and guide them through the process. Because the merchant base is diverse, you may also serve as a language bridge in conversations where partners are more comfortable in their native language.

Responsibilities

• Reach out proactively to merchant partners in Germany by phone and remind them to update required information.
• Explain compliance-related requirements in a clear, friendly, and practical way, mainly over the phone and sometimes in writing.
• Follow up independently on open cases and keep partners engaged until the next step is completed.
• Maintain accurate records of calls, contact status, and progress in internal systems.
• Work closely with the German project team and hand over activated cases to the teams responsible for final processing.

Requirements

• You communicate well, are comfortable making calls, and present yourself professionally on the phone.
• You are currently enrolled as a student; backgrounds such as economics, law, communications, or business administration are a plus.
• You are service-minded, organized, dependable, and able to keep track of multiple tickets or cases.
• You have fluent German skills at C1/C2 level for daily phone communication and solid English skills for internal collaboration.
• Additional language ability such as Vietnamese, Turkish, Arabic, or other languages is a strong advantage.
• You can ideally commit around 20 hours per week and have a schedule flexible enough to fit your classes.
