San Gabriel/Pomona Regional Center (SG/PRC) is a private nonprofit organization working under contract with the California Department of Developmental Services. About the Role
The Human Resources Coordinator supports SG/PRC’s people-focused mission by providing day-to-day administrative and operational help to the HR function. Reporting to the HR Manager, this role helps keep personnel records accurate, supports HR systems, coordinates projects, and assists senior leaders with routine operational tasks. The position calls for strong organization, careful attention to detail, and the ability to manage several priorities in a fast-moving environment. Qualifications
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business administration, or a related discipline. The preferred background includes at least 3 years of experience in HR coordination and executive support. Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, or public-sector settings is considered an advantage. Candidates should understand employment law and HR best practices, be comfortable using HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite, and bring strong communication, strategic thinking, and confidentiality skills. A genuine commitment to equity, inclusion, and productive collaboration with outside agencies is also important.
Responsibilities
- Keep employee files and HRIS records current, accurate, confidential, and aligned with company policies and legal requirements.
- Organize meetings by handling scheduling, agendas, minutes, and action-item follow-up.
- Support executives with calendar coordination, appointment planning, and expense report preparation.
- Act as a communication link between leadership, staff, and external stakeholders to ensure clear and timely exchanges.
- Draft, revise, and polish letters, reports, presentations, and other HR documents to maintain a professional standard.
- Handle routine HR administration such as filing, data entry, and document control to keep operations orderly.
- Help plan and run meetings, training sessions, conferences, and organizational events that reflect SG/PRC’s mission and values.
- Assemble materials for audits, subpoenas, and record requests in line with legal and organizational compliance expectations.
- Take on additional duties as needed to advance team and organizational goals, showing adaptability and initiative.

The position offers hourly pay between $24.25 and $39.14, based on experience and qualifications.
