Role Overview

Flik Hospitality Group is looking to fill full-time Grill Cook roles at the Florida Blue site in Jacksonville, Florida. The position is based at 532 Riverside Avenue, Jacksonville, FL 32202.

Schedule

This is a Monday-to-Friday day shift, running from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. Additional scheduling details will be discussed during the interview.

Compensation

The pay rate for this role is between $20.00 and $23.00 per hour.

What the Job Involves

The Grill Cook will prepare food at the grill station and serve guests in line with company, federal, and state foodservice standards. The role requires attention to food quality, portion control, service speed, and sanitation.

Key Duties

• Take customer orders, prepare items with short prep times, and complete orders from steam tables or multiple serving stations.
• Deliver courteous, efficient service while following established service standards.
• Make sure food is served at the proper temperature, looks appealing, and tastes good.
• Follow approved recipes, production standards, and portion-control guidelines.
• Use proper ticket-collection and service record procedures.
• Move food items safely between workstations, ovens, and refrigeration areas.
• Store ingredients correctly using wrapping, dating, rotation, and food-safety practices.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain assigned equipment, tools, and work areas.
• Address customer concerns and escalate relevant issues to a supervisor.
• Participate in safety meetings and in-service sessions.
• Maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers.
• Work safely while keeping the environment clean and organized.
• Handle other tasks as assigned.

Experience Needed

Candidates must have prior grill-cooking experience.
