Role overview
This is a contract opportunity for a Financial Due Diligence Analyst working remotely from the United Kingdom. The engagement is scoped at 10 to 40 hours per week and pays between $35 and $70 per hour.
What you will do
- Examine confidential information memorandums, financial statements, and contracts to surface financial, operational, and compliance-related risks.
- Review merger, acquisition, and fundraising workflows to make sure the financial records are transparent, accurate, and transaction-ready.
- Analyze sensitive and private documents carefully while following strict personally identifiable information compliance standards.
- Spot and reduce risks tied to sensitive data handling, keeping both internal policies and regulatory expectations in mind.
- Work with teams across functions to explain complex financial observations and compliance concerns in a clear, practical way.
- Record your findings and turn them into concise, actionable recommendations that support decision-making during major transactions.
What we are looking for
- Hands-on experience with PII compliance, including awareness of less obvious personal identifiers that may appear in financial or proprietary documents.
- Background in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, or transactional due diligence work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify and present complex information to different audiences.
- Ability to detect and evaluate risk factors within confidential financial materials.
- Good understanding of compliance standards for secure document handling and accepted regulatory practices.
