Financial Analyst

Role overview

A growing business in Kildare is seeking a newly established Finance Analyst position on a full-time, permanent basis. The role sits close to senior leadership and is focused on turning financial information into practical insights that support commercial and strategic decisions.

The ideal person will be commercially aware, comfortable working with stakeholders, and able to translate numbers into clear recommendations that help guide the business as it expands.

Key responsibilities

• Create and keep up-to-date financial models that help inform major business decisions.
• Carry out scenario evaluations, investment assessments, and cash flow projections.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and wider financial planning activities across the organisation.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports with clear commercial commentary.
• Review financial results, including margin and variance performance, to support better decision-making.
• Build dashboards and reporting solutions that improve visibility of key business metrics.
• Work with teams across the business to support commercial projects and process enhancements.
• Take part in additional project work as the company continues to develop.

Candidate profile

• You should be qualified through experience or hold a recognised finance qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent.
• Prior experience in a Finance Analyst, Commercial Finance, FP&A, or similar analytical finance position is preferred.
• Strong experience in financial modelling is required.
• Hands-on exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis is important.
• Experience with WIP analysis would be a distinct advantage.
• Advanced Excel capability is essential, and knowledge of Power BI or another reporting platform would be beneficial.
• You should have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with the confidence to explain financial information to non-finance colleagues.
• A proactive, commercially focused mindset is needed to thrive in a fast-moving, expanding business.
