Job overview

Key responsibilities

  • Build and lead a high-performing district by providing ongoing coaching, holding regular meetings, conducting daily check-ins, completing route rides, creating a positive workplace culture, and developing strong working relationships with each route service representative.
  • Drive customer loyalty and strong service outcomes through customer visits, audits, new installations, issue resolution, open communication, and customer negotiations.
  • Make sure district operations comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety requirements and service standard operating procedures.

Track and report competitor activity while overseeing promotions, contests, and ongoing customer relationships.
  • Guide the district toward strong performance by communicating changes and policies, organizing routes, maintaining a professional image, expecting the same standard from the team, and working collaboratively with other branch departments.

  • Follow both written and verbal instructions and complete other duties assigned by supervision.
  • For Senior District Managers, the role also includes overseeing a service center by securing the facility, managing inventory so routes have adequate supplies, handling deposits and paperwork, and maintaining effective communication with the processing plant.
  • Support other service staff as needed based on supervisory direction.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Maintain a valid driver’s licence, keep a clean driving record free from chargeable accidents, speeding, safety, or similar violations, and be at least 21 years old.
  • Bring strong customer service and route sales capability.
  • Communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing, follow directions well, manage time effectively, and work well as part of a team.
  • Be able to identify colors, sizes, and product types, and accurately count, add, and subtract.
  • Hold a high school diploma or comparable experience and be qualified to obtain a driver’s licence.
