What you will do

  • Plan, implement and support secure, scalable cloud environments across AWS and Azure.
  • Create, improve and maintain CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI.
  • Set up Infrastructure as Code and configuration management using Terraform, Ansible and CloudFormation.
  • Write automation scripts and supporting tools in Python, Bash and PowerShell to improve operational efficiency.
  • Deploy and manage container-based applications with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Track performance, reliability and security through logging, alerting and incident response activities.
  • Work closely with software engineers, cloud specialists and stakeholders to resolve issues and simplify delivery workflows.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts, documentation, knowledge sharing and uplift of DevOps practices across the team.

What you should bring

  • Proven background in designing and supporting cloud and hybrid infrastructure.
  • Strong working knowledge of AWS and/or Azure and their related services.
  • Practical experience with IaC and configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible or CloudFormation.
  • Demonstrated success building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI or similar tools.
  • Solid scripting and automation capability in Python, Bash and/or PowerShell.
  • Hands-on experience running containerised workloads on Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Good understanding of networking, systems engineering, cloud service models and security fundamentals.
  • Experience using monitoring, logging and observability platforms such as Prometheus, ELK Stack or comparable tools.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and work effectively in high-security environments.
  • Current Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) clearance, or the ability to satisfy all eligibility requirements for the role.
