Role overview

AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for designing, planning, delivering, and running the global infrastructure that keeps AWS services available. The team supports data centers and the full stack of servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling systems that customers depend on every day. This position offers the chance to work on complex, high-scale infrastructure challenges in a fast-moving environment.

You will join a varied group of software, hardware, and network specialists, supply chain professionals, security experts, and operations leaders. The work involves close collaboration across AWS to maintain high standards of safety, security, reliability, and cost efficiency while contributing ideas and owning work through to completion.

This role focuses on installing, supporting, and troubleshooting the IT infrastructure that powers AWS cloud services. You will partner with engineering and logistics teams to keep day-to-day operations running smoothly. Data Center Operations builds, installs, and maintains some of the world’s largest computing infrastructure. This is a chance to work in advanced data center environments and contribute to the growth of cloud technology in the region.

Key responsibilities

Set up and configure host racks in accordance with internal service-level agreements.
Investigate faults in server, storage, and network equipment and carry out part replacements when needed.
Respond to rack-level power issues and take part in data center power and cooling incidents.
Work rotating shifts on a 4-days-on, 4-days-off pattern, including night shifts.
Handle physically demanding tasks such as lifting and racking equipment with company-provided lifting tools.
Travel between sites using a valid driver’s license and a personal vehicle.

Qualifications and experience

At least 2 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing computer hardware.
At least 1 year of experience in computer networking.
A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification.
Ability to work effectively with customers while resolving issues and remain productive under pressure.
