Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain project budgets and cost plans.
• Track project spending and keep costs under control across ongoing work.
• Review budget vs. actuals, explain variances, and flag any deviations.
• Oversee cash flow and monitor financial results for projects.
• Prepare regular financial and performance updates for management.
• Create cost estimates and forward-looking financial projections.
• Spot waste, inefficiencies, and opportunities to reduce costs.
• Work closely with project and finance teams to ensure cost data is accurate.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 7 years of experience in cost control, ideally on construction projects.
• Strong command of Microsoft Excel, including analysis, spreadsheets, and reporting.
• Prior exposure to ERP platforms such as SAP or Oracle is preferred.
• Good analytical ability to identify mismatches and unsupported costs.
• Clear understanding of project cost structures within construction environments.
• Ability to tell the difference between routine and unusual cost variances.
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving capability.
• Solid skills in reporting and forecasting.
