Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out visual checks on sand cores before they move into the next stage of processing.
  • Finish and clean cores using tools and methods such as filing, brushing, vacuuming, and similar equipment.
  • Create vents by drilling openings and fitting plastic vent tubing to support proper airflow.
  • Correct small flaws with patching compounds and core paste.
  • Use a propane torch to dry patches and smoke cores when needed.
  • Move cores from the print room and place them in the correct storage locations.
  • Complete secondary inspections on printed cores.
  • Keep the work area neat, orderly, and aligned with 6S practices.
  • Inform the supervisor about equipment problems, material issues, or any unusual conditions.
