Role Overview
The Business Development Manager will work on a part-time, remote basis to identify and shape strategic opportunities that advance the Council’s goals. This position focuses on market exploration, partnership evaluation, proposal development, and cross-functional coordination to support long-term planning and decision-making.
Core Duties
- Study markets and sectors to uncover potential opportunities aligned with the Council’s priorities.
- Assess partnership prospects and prepare business proposals and presentations for both internal and external audiences.
- Develop and sustain productive relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
- Monitor pipeline activity and keep records of progress across business development initiatives.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure business development efforts stay aligned with strategic objectives.
- Contribute to reports, dashboards, and recommendations that inform leadership decisions and future planning.
Qualifications
- Proven background in business development, partnership management, or strategic planning, ideally in government, public sector, consulting, or a similar environment.
- Strong capability in market research, data interpretation, and evaluating opportunities, with the ability to turn findings into actionable plans.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing proposals, reports, and executive-level briefings in English.
- Ability to build professional networks, work with varied stakeholders, and influence outcomes without direct authority.
- Well-organized, self-directed, and comfortable handling several priorities at once in a remote, part-time setup.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Public Administration, or a related discipline; advanced qualifications or professional certifications are considered an advantage.
- Knowledge of Dubai’s economic environment, government systems, and strategic focus areas is a strong plus.
- Strong commitment to ethical behavior, inclusion, and fair treatment in all professional interactions.
