Position Summary
The Business Development Analyst partners with the Director of Business Development to support strategic analysis, merchandising, demand planning, and reporting for Hublot of America. In this role, you will help keep commercial data accurate across systems, prepare sales and inventory insights, and contribute to cross-functional initiatives across wholesale and retail. Your work will help the Director deliver data-backed recommendations and business insights to leadership in North America and Switzerland.

Essential Job Functions
Reporting and Presentations
- Support the creation of weekly and monthly sales reporting materials for internal leaders and colleagues in Switzerland.
- Help the Director prepare business review presentations covering sales performance, retailer results, and the competitive environment.
- Work with Finance, Wholesale, and Retail Operations to preserve accuracy across commercial reports and datasets.
- Handle internal requests for data and reporting with speed and precision.
Strategic Analysis Support
- Develop competitive analysis on Hublot’s market position in North America and compare it with key competitors.
- Assist with SKU-level analysis to guide assortment decisions.
- Produce ad hoc reports and sales/inventory summaries to inform business strategy.
- Research market information and support materials used in product, distribution, and promotional strategy discussions.
Demand Planning and Merchandising Support
- Assist with SKU and channel forecasting by gathering and organizing historical sales data, replenishment patterns, and seasonal inputs.
- Support tracking of new product launches, including assortment rollout coordination and checks on retailer readiness.
- Monitor inventory for the NORAM subsidiary and alert the Director to gaps, discrepancies, or replenishment needs.
360° Commercial and Brand Activation Support
- Track and report on the commercial results of 360° activations, including the impact of VM, events, and CRM efforts on sales.
- Support special projects and event coordination such as product launches, clienteling activities, and pop-ups, helping drive sales and brand consistency.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data modeling.
- Exposure to Power BI, Salesforce, SAP, or Anaplan is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with a talent for finding patterns and explaining findings clearly.
- High attention to detail and the ability to juggle several projects and deadlines at once.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.
- Interest in luxury retail, consumer goods, or watchmaking is beneficial.
Education and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a closely related discipline is required.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in business analysis, merchandising, demand planning, or a similar area; experience in luxury or retail is an advantage.
- Proven experience working with sales or inventory data and creating commercial reports.
- Experience in a cross-functional or matrixed organization is preferred.
- Global or multi-market exposure is a plus because the role coordinates with Swiss counterparts.
